It all started in the early 1900’s in a small print shop in the heart of Colorado Springs called H&H Printing. This is where Willard Haase would become the printer of choice for Colorado College as well as other booming businesses in Colorado Springs. This is also where Mark Kyle, owner of xMedia, would first be exposed to lead type, the original “cut and paste” and the ever popular “stop the presses” statement. When Mark graduated high school he moved onto Pikes Peak Community College to study graphic arts as he fulfilled the obligitory “everyone goes to college” commitments. Working on graphic projects in his spare time the demands became too many and xMedia was formed in 2005. Nearly 100 years after his grandpa, Willard Haase, broke into the printing business in Colorado Springs, he did the same with graphic design. Grandpa Haase would always say “location, location location – if someone can’t read your address how will they ever find you.” The same applies today – if people are blinded by a mess of graphics your message will never get through.
